POSITION SUMMARY

The Sales Floor Associate delivers exceptional customer service by guiding customers through the buying process and making personalized recommendations. This role involves engaging with customers, maintaining a well-stocked, organized sales floor, accurate pricing, and creating attractive displays. The associate also participates in online training to stay informed and continues growing as a positive representation of the store's principles. Collaborating with the team, the associate drives sales, supports store events, and ensures a positive shopping experience.

  • Deliver personalized customer service by engaging with customers, understanding their needs, and making expert product recommendations.
  • Maintain an organized, fully stocked sales floor, including accurate pricing and attractive product displays to enhance the shopping environment.
  • Collaborate with team members to support store operations, events, and promotions while actively contributing to sales goals.
  • Adhere to store policies and create a safe, professional, and positive shopping environment.
  • Actively seek customer feedback and contribute to store growth by embodying the store’s core principles in every interaction.

  • Merchandising & Attention to Detail – Create and maintain attractive product displays, ensuring pricing accuracy, product availability, and an organized sales floor.
  • Problem-Solving Ability – Resolve customer concerns or product-related issues quickly and professionally to enhance the shopping experience.
  • Team Collaboration – Work effectively with colleagues to support store events, promotions, and overall operations.

  • Time Management – Balance customer service, restocking, and maintaining sales floor standards efficiently.
  • Continuous Learning – Participate in online sales training and development to stay current with product knowledge and improve sales techniques.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or GED (required)
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on customer service in customer-facing roles
  • 1-2 years of retail or customer service experience (preferred), with a focus on making product recommendations based on customer needs
  • Experience working in a team-oriented environment to achieve sales goals and maintain store operations
  • Experience in a fast-paced retail environment handling multiple responsibilities simultaneously
  • Basic merchandising experience (helpful but not required)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours)
  • Frequent walking, bending, and reaching to assist customers and restock merchandise
  • Ability to lift and carry items up to 30-50 lbs.
  • Hand dexterity for operating POS systems and handling small items
  • Ability to move, stack, and organize products on shelves and in storage areas
  • Comfortable climbing ladders or step stools to retrieve or stock products at varying heights (if applicable)
