Turning Challenges into Opportunities: The SDW Journey

In 2020, when the unexpected quarantine hit, many small businesses, including mine, were affected. Stuck at home, I couldn't ignore the projects I'd put on hold. With prior experience in online selling, I made an unconventional decision: to dive into eBay during my free time. My wife, Erika, and I seized the opportunity to rent a small warehouse, and that's where our journey began.

Initially, I focused on buying truckloads of liquidated home improvement items, but some were too large for eBay, leading me to explore local sales through Facebook Marketplace. Today, we purchase several truckloads weekly, with a strong emphasis on home improvement products. We've already outgrown our second warehouse and recently opened a dedicated retail location with improved parking.

Our fantastic team inspects thousands of items every week, continually refining our testing procedures. Every product undergoes a defect check, and while we may miss things occasionally, we stand by our items with a generous 30-day return policy. We prioritize customer service to make everyone who walks through our doors feel part of something special.

Our process is straightforward: buy diverse truckloads, inspect and test rigorously, repair what's salvageable, dispose of unusable items, and price well below retail.

With many people spending more time at home, there's a growing desire to renovate or remodel living spaces. With a wealth of DIY resources online, folks are taking on home improvement projects themselves and need affordable supplies. Despite the increasing cost of living, our customers can update their homes and tackle projects while saving substantial sums.

Sheboygan's Discount Warehouse sets out to distinguish itself from large retail chains. Our mission is to assist and give back to OUR community. We are grateful for our wonderful customers, and it's heartening to see the positivity spreading. After a challenging couple of years, I'm excited to see what the future holds.
